No Mention of Election in Mayor Scanlon's State of the City Address

Mayor Bill Scanlon addressed city officials, residents with annual State of the City Tuesday night.

Mayor Bill Scanlon touched upon a series of local initiatives, including the city's $500 million Brimbal Avenue project, purchasing two new fire engines and improvements to city buildings in Tuesday evening's State of the City address.

What Scanlon's address did not include was an indication of whether he will run for reelection.

In speculation of Scanlon's interest in running again, Ward 6 Councilor Brett Schetzle tweeted after the address, "Nothing from @beverly_ma Mayor on re-election. State of City included moments that could have been either farewell or re-elect platform."
