North Beverly Chipotle Sets New Opening Date

For Chipotle fans, the wait is still on.

Originally Chipotle representatives said the Mexican grill was set to open the second week in November, but new reports say the restaurant won't be opening until Thursday, Dec. 20.

The restaurant will be located in the North Beverly plaza, in the former home to Blockbuster.

The grill serves gourmet burritos, bowls, tacos and salads, and prides itself on using quality ingredients — local products if possible.

While some Chipotle locations have the option to serve beer and margaritas, like the one at the North Shore Mall, Chipotle representatives said a liquor license was not available in Beverly at this time.
