The NYE comedy ball dropped at The Larcom Theatre!
Comedian Paul D'Angelo leaves nothing but laughs in the Beverly theatre for New Years Eve!
On the eve of 2016 The Larcom Theatre and Spectacle Management presented Comedy with Paul D’Angelo. This show was packed with laughs and stories that only Paul could tell the crowd in his amazing comedy style. The Larcom Theatre crowd packed the house to celebrate new years eve and laugh the night away.
The show opened up with local comic and Boston Comedy Festival winner and funniest Mom comic Chrissy Kelleher who brought her comedy styling of being a mother of two to the stage. From the minute she took the stage the crowd was being entertained by this unique comedy material. Jokes ranged from stories about her growing up as a child with different names to talking about her daily job as being a school teacher and how she has to work hard to not let her comedy styles get involved with her day job. She also made a mention that her two son’s were in the audience and were going to be embarrassed about some of the jokes that deal with her sexual history. She was a great lead in for the headliner but should try to make her jokes connect better so that the crowd can be sure to laugh and not have silent points during her set.
After Chrissy got the crowd warmed up it was time for Paul D’Angelo to take the stage and be the headliner of the night. He didn’t disappoint from the minute he took the stage getting the crowd to laugh with almost everything he said. The moment Paul took the stage he made the crowd chuckle when he made a mention to the competition going on in the comedy scene in Beverly that night. Paul told the crowd “It’s amazing it take’s the Cabot 4 comedian’s to make the crowd laugh, when he promises it will only take him to send everyone home happy”. Paul made you laugh from the moment he entered the stage to the minute he left. One really good thing about Paul’s style is that he has the ability to not plan his shows and it was shown tonight that he really tried to gear his show towards the audience to ensure that if they were there last year they would hear new stuff. He brought up stories about living with folks who are older to dealing with them as they got even older. Although he was still able to bring it all full circle and make you not feel like you were left out at all during the show. Whenever Paul is in your area you should try to get a ticket to his show and he promises you won’t leave un happy.
