Pasta Vandalism, Beach Party: Beverly Police Log

Someone dumped pasta on a car, people were reportedly "snorting stuff," and more from the Beverly Police log.

  • Police responded to a report of a car stuck on the train tracks at Cabot Street and Blaine Avenue last Monday evening. The train was able to stop in time, and the car was taken off the tracks.
  • Someone dumped pasta on a Volkswagon parked on Kernwood Avenue sometime overnight, as discovered last Tuesday.
  • Officers responded to a report of a disturbance near Fairview Avenue on Thursday around 1 a.m. They found a woman was yelling at her husband to get out of the hot tub, and didn't realize the neighbors were bothered.
  • Police dispersed a group of 30-plus kinds running down Brackenbury Beach and through peoples' yards on Thursday around 9:30 p.m. Officers found a youth hiding near the woods, and made him put out the fire on the beach with abandoned alcohol, and made him clean up the trash.
  • Officers responded to the intersection of Cabot and School streets on Saturday around 11 a.m. on a report of a man acting aggressive. Police found that the caller took issue with the man's appearance, but there was no issue.
  • Police responded to a report of men "snorting stuff" on Essex Street on Sunday around noon.
  • Francis Murray Forbes, 77, of Beverly was arrested on charges of drunken driving and reckless driving on Sunday around 8:30 p.m. after a traffic stop near Dodge Street.
