Police Called For Fight Via Xbox Live

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police log:Â
Friday, Oct. 12
- A vehicle was reported stolen on Rantoul Street at 3:29 a.m.
- At 8:33 a.m. police arrested Angel Figueroa, 40, of 73 Towne Hill Rd. in Haverhill, on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and threatening to commit a crime.Â
- At 9:59 a.m. police arrested Thomas McGovern, 17, of 19 Morningside Dr., on two warrant charges.Â
- An individual on a motorcycle was reportedly struck by a car at the Franklin Place, Cabot Street intersection at 10:32 p.m. The individual was transported to the hospital with injuries.Â
- Police dispersed a group of ten people at the Gage Street playground at 6:52 p.m. Police emptied and discarded their bottle of spiced rum.Â
- Police were called to Mill Street on report of a fued via Xbox Live at 9:04 p.m. The individual told police he was playing online four days ago when he got into a fight with another gamer from Missouri. Words and threats were reportedly exchanged. The individual was advised to contact Microsoft and Facebook to stop the exchanges.Â
- At 10:18 p.m. police were notified of an unoccupied bus running on Park Street. When police found the bus, which was running with lights on, on the wrong side of the street, the three students on board told police the driver had left. The driver later returned from One Stop with a liquor purchase, but police report stated no alcohol had been consumed. Police notified the bus company and Endicott College.Â

- At 12:01 a.m. police were called to Water Street on report of a hit-and-run into a house. The caller told police she 'awoke to the sound of metal crunching,' and when she looked outside she saw a small car backing away from the building. Reports stated there were no skid marks, scratches, metal or plastic left behind. Police said there is no evidence of a crash taking place at the residence.Â
- Police dispersed a loud party at 12:53 a.m. on Hale Street.Â
- At 12:53 a.m. police arrested Nicholas Mello, 22, of 6 Winrow Dr. in Merrimack, NH, on charges of disorderly conduct.Â
- Police were called to a neighbor dispute at 4:27 a.m. on Cedar Street.Â
- At 9:04 a.m. police were made aware of an overnight incident where a resident reported a large group of 30 Endicott students causing a disturbance in the street. The caller reported litter including political signs being ripped.Â
- Police were called to Summer Street on report of a possible break-in at 12:48 p.m. The residents, who were inside the house, told police their friends were just using the window to gain entrance. Police advised them to use the doors next time.Â
- A counterfeit $20 bill was reported to police from One Stop at 7:02 p.m.
- At 9:35 p.m. police and fire were called to Old Essex Road on report of black smoke in a residence. The smoke was due to a furnace blow back. Fire Department responded and ventilated the house.Â
Sunday, Oct. 14
- At 11:06 a.m. police arrested Michael Pizzi, 35, of 16 Bridge St., on charges of domestic assault and battery.Â
- Police were called to the Bridge Street/Livingstone Avenue area on report of a person stopping a vehicle to ask about drugs, at 4:40 p.m. Police did not find the person in question.Â
- Police were called to a neighbor dispute on Wilson Avenue at 9:12 p.m. Both parties accused eachother of harassment. Police advised them to leave eachother alone.Â
- At 10:56 p.m. police on patrol observed kids on their bikes with backpacks lurking in the Lothrop Street/Dane Street Beach area. The kids reportedly headed toward the beach, but when they saw the cruisers they circled back. Officers spoke to the two and found them to be in possession of 30 lighters, bottles of lighter fluid, and other flammable products. Police confiscated the items and advised them to go home.Â
