Drunk Females Pass Out At Beverly Depot, Infant Gets Locked in Car

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department:

Wednesday, Jan. 9

  • At 3:15 a.m. police were called to Essex Street on report of loud music and yelling. Police told the group to quiet down.
  • At 5:38 a.m. police arrested Timothy Bird, 38, of 50 Broadway, on warrant charges.
  • At 9:22 a.m. police arrested Stephen Martin, 47, of 4 Duck Pond Rd., on warrant charges.
  • Four tires and rims were reported stolen from a vehicle on New Balch Street at 10:12 a.m.
  • An act of vandalism was reported on Rantoul Street at 12 p.m.
  • Police recovered a stolen cell phone at 1:19 p.m.
  • An apartment break-in was reported on Pond Street at 4:45 p.m.
  • A man laying on the ground on Summer Street was reported at 9:03 p.m. The individual was transported to the hospital.

Thursday, Jan. 10

  • At 5:28 p.m. police were called to Bow Street on report of a man sleeping on the back steps of a building. Police sent him on his way.
  • Police were called to Cabot Street at 10:08 a.m. on report of a roommate dispute. 
  • Threats were reported on Greene Street at 1:49 p.m.
  • Police were called to Hilltop Drive at 1:54 p.m. on report of an infant accidentally locked in a vehicle, with the keys inside. Police assisted while Big Jims unlocked the car.
  • An individual turned in a small amount of marjiuana found on Cabot Street to the police department at 2:10 p.m. 
  • At 2:49 p.m. police were made aware of suspicious activity on Cabot Street. A caller told police someone had been writing on her vehicle.
  • Police were called to the Beverly Depot Restaurant at 11:03 p.m. on report of two females who had reportedly 'passed out,' and had their 'faces in their plates.' Police arrived and determined the two could not drive home. They arranged for a ride home. 
  • Police were called to Brimbal Avenue on report of a loud drummer at 11:27 p.m. 
  • At 11:59 p.m. police arrested Preston Ferraro Jr, 27, of 32 Broadway on charges of violating an abuse prevention order. 

Friday, Jan. 11

  • Police were called to Rantoul Street at 2:08 a.m. on report of two loud, intoxicated people. Both parties police determined were slightly intoxicated and talking loudly, disturbing their neighbors. They agreed to quiet down and go to bed. At 3:27 a.m. police were called back to the residence for the same issue. One male was placed in protective custody. 
  • A vehicle was reported vandalized at 9:33 a.m. on Manor Road.
  • At 10:19 a.m. police were called to Broadway on report of smoke in the building. Beverly Fire discovered an individual was cutting the oil tank in the basement with improper equipment.
  • Vandalism to a vehicle on Charnock Street was reported at 11:15 a.m.
  • Police were called to Mulberry Street at 12:13 p.m. on report of hypodermic needles found on the ground.
