Postmodern Jukebox Postpones Beverly Show Amid Covid-19 Concerns
"All of us at Postmodern Jukebox are heartbroken at this turn of events," Scott Bradlee, the group's founder said in a statement.

BEVERLY, MA—A popular music group known for putting an old-school twist on modern hits has postponed Friday night's concert in Beverly over coronavirus concerns. Postmodern Jukebox was scheduled to play at The Cabot at 8 p.m. March 13.
"Right now, all of us have a responsibility to protect our family, friends and neighbors that are risk of developing serious complication from COVID-19 at a time where a vaccine does not exist, and that means taking certain precautions to slow the spread and not overwhelm hospitals and other resources," Scott Bradlee, the group's founder said in a statement.
Efforts are being made to reschedule the concert and ticket holders will be advised as soon as possible if a new date is confirmed, The Cabot announced on its website. Tickets for the Friday concern will be honored on the new date and refunds will also be available.

"All of us at Postmodern Jukebox are heartbroken at this turn of events, but we won't let it be more than a bump in the road in our mission to bring great music and great talent around the words, as we have done for the past seven years," Bradlee said. "This postponement is just a short intermission, and we look forward to seeing all of you again in the near future."
Postmodern Jukebox's performance Friday at The Cabot was part of the group's "Welcome to the Twenties 2.0 Tour." According to the group, the tour is meant to prepare the world for a new decade — one that the group hopes will see a return to the style and craftsmanship that typified the music of past generations. For now, however, the tour will have to wait.

"Those studying the disease and its spread agree that mass gatherings of over 1,000 people have the potential to significantly accelerate the spread of the virus," Bradlee said. "When it became clear that continuing to hold concerts as planned would mean contributing to the problem rather than the solution the decision to postpone was an easy one, and one that I am certain many other concert acts will make in the coming days. There's no doubt in my mind that is the right thing to do."
Started by Bradlee in 2009, Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) has gone on to amass over one billion YouTube views with 3.5 million subscribers, and have chalked up more than 1.7 million fans on Facebook. For the past half decade, PMJ has toured the world, playing hundreds of shows to sold-out houses on six continents. They’ve also performed on shows like “Good Morning America,” topped iTunes and Billboard charts, and caught the attention of NPR Music, NBC News and a wide array of celebrity fans.
