Richard Tabbut Declares Candidacy For Beverly City Council Seat
The first-time candidate is seeking to bring his background in small business financial management to the Beverly City Council in Ward 3.

The following is a declaration of candidacy from Beverly City Council candidate Richard Tabbut to Patch:
I am excited to announce my candidacy for Beverly Ward 3 City Council. This is the first time I have run for election to a public office.
The city needs leaders to look at our challenges from the perspective of an experienced small business financial manager. I plan to work as a team player to face the challenges facing our great city.

I am a lifelong Beverly resident and graduate of the Beverly Schools. Many of you know me as an avid runner seen on the streets of Beverly. I am a graduate of UMass-Boston with a B.S. in management with a concentration in accounting.
I volunteer at Beverly Bootstraps and I am a veteran of the Massachusetts Army National Guard where I was awarded the Army Achievement Medal.

Memberships include the Beverly/Salem Elks, Beverly Historical Society, and the treasurer of the Wicked Running Club.
I am retired and will be able to devote all my energies to the betterment of the city I love — Beverly.
I am looking forward to meeting all the residents of Ward 3 in the coming months and hearing your questions, problems and working tirelessly to better our beautiful city.
