Roller Palace in Beverly holding final skate Tuesday!

The Beverly roller rink is expected to hold it's final skate this coming Tuesday!

In an update from to a story published earlier this week we have received word from people familiar with the situation that the historic roller rink on Sohier Road known as The Roller Palace will hold it final Adult Skate as well as it's final skating session and will close for business at 10:00pm on Tuesday August 7th. The Roller Palace which has been a staple to so many families on the North Shore has been under the current management since 1979. They have been trying to survive the rough waters for years with the competition of many of these super entertainment centers opening nearby. The hours for the final Adult skate and final scheduled skate night at the venue is scheduled from 7:30pm-10:00pm. Our source however said there is a slim possibility of them staying open through the weekend but that is a very slim possibility. So grab your skates and your friends for one last roll around the rink to celebrate the memories. A Facebook event has been created by local avid skaters to help spread the word about this historic rink's closing. Stay with Patch as we continue to follow this story and bring you the latest news on the closing of this once institution of fun in Beverly.
