Route 128 Closure In Beverly, Danvers Monday Night
The state Department of Transportation said there will be ongoing lane restrictions from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
BEVERLY, MA — Route 128 will temporarily be closed in both directions Monday as part of ongoing highway work from the state Department of Transporation.
MassDOT said the highway will be closed between the ramps at Dodge Street in Beverly and Conant Street in Danvers so an overhead sign can be installed. Lane closures and rolling roadblocks will start Monday night at 9 and last until Tuesday morning around 5. During most of the least one lane will remain open in each direction.
The work is part of a $5.5 million contract to expand MassDOT’s Intelligent Transportation System in various locations.
