Senior Charlie Card Day Is Today

It's being held at the Beverly Senior Center at 90 Colon Street

Senior Charlie Card Day is being held today between 9:30am and 1:30pm at the Beverly Senior Center.

BEVERLY – Rather than apply for a Senior Charlie Card in Downtown Boston, seniors are welcome to come to the event and apply at 90 Colon St, suites A & B in in Beverly.

Members of Senator Joan Lovely and Representative Jerry Parisella will be there to take seniors' photos and process any necessary paperwork, the MBTA says.

A Senior Charlie Card is available to adults 65 years of age or older and can be used to receive reduced fares on all T buses, the subway, the commuter rail, and the Salem-to-Boston ferry line.

Seniors looking to renew a card that is about to expire should not attend the event, the T says. Cards can be renewed for free over the phone by calling 617-222-3200.
