Snow In Beverly: What You Need To Know

BEVERLY, MA -- Weather forecasters say Massachusetts could get as much as one to two feet of snow this weekend. Here's what you need to know to before the storm hits Beverly. We'll update this story with cancellations as we hear of them, but, in the meantime, keep the following in mind:

The quickest way to know when the city declares a snow emergency is to sign up for Swift911, Beverly's reverse emergency notification system. During snow emeregcnies, all on-street parking is banned and violators are subject to ticket and towing.

The following municipal lots are available for parking during snow emergencies:

• Franklin Place and Washington Street (between the two streets)
• Pond Street (behind Casa Da Moda)
• Pond Street (at American Legion/Spear Post)
• Briscoe St/Hale St (across from Central Fire Station)
• Congress Street and Summit Avenue (public lot)
• Chapman Street and Federal Street (behind Family Dollar)
• MBTA Parking Garage on Rantoul Street (reduced rate during parking ban)
