  • Where: NMTW Community Credit Union, Danvers Branch
  • When: Saturday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • What: Do you have questions about the home financing process? Get all the answers at one of NMTW Community Credit Union’s Home Buyer Expos. Stop by for refreshments and receive a $500 coupon towards closing costs on an NMTW home loan, just for attending!

Von Trapp Granddaughter to Visit Hamilton for 'Sound of Music' Show

  • Where: Community House of Hamilton-Wenham
  • When: Saturday, March 2 for the 3 p.m. show
  • What: Kristina von Trapp, granddaughter of Maria and the Captain von Trapp, will be at the 3 p.m. performance of the "Sound of Music." She will hold a question and answer session with the audience after the show. The "Sound of Music" was inspired by the real-life story of the von Trapp family, who now live in Vermont.

LOL with Beverly Youth Hockey

  • Where: Italian Community Center, Beverly
  • When: Saturday, 6:30 p.m.
  • What: THe 3rd Annual Comedy Night to support Bevelry Youth Hockey...LOL for BYH... will be held on March 2, 2013. There will be music and dancing with "It's All About the Music" as well as many raffles.  Light fare is also included in the ticket price.

“Bugsy Malone Jr.”

  • Where: Holten-Richmond Middle School, Danvers
  • When: Performances take place at 7 PM on Friday, March 1, and at 1 PM and 7 PM on Saturday, March 2. 
  • What: Tap-dancing flappers and gangsters from the Roaring Twenties take the stage as the Holten Richmond Theater Organization (HRTO) presents the musical “Bugsy Malone Jr.” at the Holten Richmond. 

Forbidden Planet

  • Where: Pingree School, South Hamilton
  • When: Now the show comes to the Pingree stage on Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March, 3, at 2:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $10 per ticket. Tickets can be reserved here.
  • What: Eons ago, before Star Trek and Star Wars, there was Forbidden Planet, an ingeniously high-tech science-fiction movie that drew its basic story line from The Tempest. Return to the Forbidden Planet, Bob Carlton's musical version, which incorporates rock and rhythm-and-blues of the 1950s and 1960s, is a case of Shakespeare rattled and rolled, according to the New York Times review when the show debuted on Broadway. 

Endicott College Drama Club’s One Act Play Festival

  • Where: Tia’s Theater, Manninen Center for the Arts, Endicott College
  • When: The festival will take place March 1st and 2nd at 7:30 p.m. General admission to the Festival is $10 and free for those with an Endicott ID. 
  • What:  The Endicott College Drama Club is performing a One Act Play Festival that will showcase fresh, original writing by Endicott's students, alumni, and faculty.
