Town Paving Draws Ire of Neighbor on Preston Place

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department activity logs:
Tuesday, July 9
- 6:13 p.m. a possible breaking and entering into a home was reported on Hale Street.Â
- 7:47 p.m. domestic assault was reported on Munroe Street. Police report this as an ongoing issue.Â
- 11:34 p.m. a caller reported a stolen flag on Cabot Street at the Wild Horse. The kids that stole the flag dropped it after being chased. No damage was done to the flag and it was returned.Â
- 7:06 a.m. a caller reported that kids were hassling him while he was picking through trash on Rantoul Street. An officer reported that the kids were gone on arrival.Â
- 10:29 a.m. a town employee reported a neighbor complaining about paving that was being done on his street, Preston Place. The issue stems from an ongoing dispute about drainage from the new pavement. The neighbor was told to not interfere with the works and contact a city engineer about his problems.Â
- 11:12 a.m. a caller reported a carjacking on Cabot Street near the Salem city line.Â
- 12:35 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Enon Street involving property damage.Â
- 12:53 p.m. a caller reported a stolen cell phone on Rantoul Street.Â
- 1:55 p.m. a caller reported that her purse was stolen from her motor vehicle on Rantoul Street.Â
- 3:07 p.m. an employee at the Store 24 on Cabot Street was reporting a man that was in the store for 45 minutes and acting strange.Â
- 5:07 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Herrick Street involving an irate individual. One vehicle was towed because of a broken break line.Â
