Two Arrested On Assault Charges

The following was provided by the Beverly Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police log: 

Wednesday, Oct. 10

  • Police were called to Bow Street on report of a man laying in a yard. The person was spoken to and sent on his way. 
  • A Facebook threat was reported from Roderick Avenue at 7:59 p.m.
  • A domestic dispute was reported on Rantoul Street at 8:38 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 11

  • A vehicle on Pine Street was reported broken into at 6:35 a.m.
  • A vehicle on Hale Street was reported broken into at 8:08 a.m.
  • Police were called to Roundy and Mechanic Street on report of a person driving down a one-way the wrong way at 9:15 a.m. The person told police he was trying to avoid traffic. 
  • A domestic dispute was reported in a vehicle parked on Sohier Road at 3:03 p.m.
  • A vehicle was reported broken into on Pleasant Street at 3:45 p.m. Police said the vehicle was damaged and broken into sometime during the middle of the night. 
  • Police were called to Trask Lane at 5:18 p.m. on report of people looking in cars. Police did not find anyone. 
  • Police were called to Oak Street on report of three kids on the railroad tracks at 8:05 p.m.
  • At 8:59 p.m. police arrested Michael Farese, 28, of 5 Trask Ct., on charges of two counts of domestic assault and battery. 
  • Police were called to Wellesley Road on report of a man drunkely banging on his grandfather's door at 11:09 a.m. One person was placed in protective custody. 

Friday, Oct. 12

  • A vehicle was reported stolen on Rantoul Street at 3:29 a.m.
  • At 8:33 a.m. police arrested Angel Figueroa, 40, of 73 Towne Hill Rd. in Haverhill, on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and threatening to commit a crime. 
  • At 9:59 a.m. police arrested Thomas McGovern, 17, of 19 Morningside Dr., on two warrant charges.
