Possible Unexploded Firework Washes Up On West Beach
What is possibly an unexploded firework/small Death Star-looking object washed up on West Beach on Thursday.
BEVERLY, MA – The Mass. State Police Bomb Squad detonated a possible unexploded firework after it washed up on West Beach on Thursday afternoon.
The bomb squad removed the device and detonated it near the Beverly Airport. West Street was closed to traffic, according to a tweet from Beverly Police, as was West Beach.
It hasn't been officially confirmed that the device was an unexploded firework from the Fourth of July, apart from a tweet from Beverly Police.
