Victim in Fatal Car Crash was Endicott College Sophomore

Craig Sampson was a sophomore from Williston, VT.

Beverly, MA - The victim of a fatal car crash near Endicott College early Sunday morning has been identified as a 19-year-old sophomore at the college.

Craig Sampson of Williston, VT was killed when the car he was a passenger in struck a utility pole outside Birchmont Hall at the college early Sunday morning.

"He brought life, energy and smiles to all our faces and will be greatly missed by our entire community," Endicott President Richard Wylie said in a statement on Saturday. "At this time of sadness we must join together in our prayers for Craig and his family."

Gully's at the college will be open from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday with counselors present, according to the college.
