When Will Paving on Cabot Street Be Finished?

We received the following question from a Beverly resident about paving on Cabot Street: 

Curious, when will the Cabot Street repaving be completed?

We spoke with Michael Collins, commissioner of Public Services and Engineering for the answer. 

"Our contractors still need another week or two to raise or replace the manhole covers and water gate boxes before finish paving is completed," Collins said. "There are many small steps required when we pave so it unfortunately does take some time."

Still, Collins understands that residents are looking forward to the end of the project.

"The end is near and we will all be happy when it comes," he said.
