Wintery Mix Could Not Dampen Spirits at Annual Cancer Run
Steady rain, occasional snow and a bone-chilling wind did not deter a crowd of close to 400 runners from taking to the streets of Beverly.

On Sunday, November 2, the fifth annual North Shore Cancer RUN was held. Among the hearty participants were many familiar faces from the North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) community, including a number of physicians, nurses and administrative staff. Thanks to all for braving the wintery weather.
Among the top finishers for the race were Alexy Kochowiec, M.D., who took second place in the 10K road race, and Kelly Bradbury, R.N., a nurse at the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center, who was the first female finisher in the 10K. Both are previous winners of the event.
Proceeds from the Cancer RUN provide vital funds for cancer treatment and programs at North Shore Medical Center and the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center in Danvers.
