Barnstable County Fairgrounds Hosting Vaccine Clinic Next Week

The clinic will administer 870 coronavirus vaccines.

EAST FALMOUTH, MA — Cape Cod health officials said they will host a coronavirus vaccine clinic at the Barnstable County Fair grounds next week.

The clinic is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday. Barnstable County officials said the clinics will distribute the Pfizer vaccine, meaning a second appointment will be required. There will be 870 doses available.

Residents over 65, workers in Phase 1 of the vaccine rollout, people with two or more comorbidities, teachers, child care workers, school staff and residents and staff of low income and affordable senior housing are eligible for these clinics. Registration begins 10 a.m. Friday and can be found here.

The clinic is not offered to caregivers who accompany someone age 75 or older. Those who fall into this category should make an appointment at a mass vaccination site with the person you are accompanying.

When going to the registration site, scroll down until you see this clinic listed. Officials advise that you do not type in the date or any other parameters in the search. County officials also created a video tutorial if you need additional help navigating the website.

These clinics are organized by Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment and are separate from clinics offered by Cape Cod Healthcare.
