BARNSTABLE, MA — The days of spending hours online to secure a coronavirus vaccine appointment are over.

Walk-ins open at a time when Gov. Charlie Baker said this week the state will ramp down the mass vaccination sites, including at Gillette Stadium, Hynes Convention Center, the Natick Mall and the Danvers DoubleTree Hotel. Baker said the focus has shifted to regional collaborations.
"We are adjusting our vaccine strategy to be more targeted," Baker said during a Monday news conference. "And we'll shift vaccines to smaller-scale operations that can focus on particular communities or particular populations."
