Positive Coronavirus Test Forces Early Dismissal At Falmouth High

Superintendent Lori Duerr said both cohorts A and B will work remotely until the high school reopens for in-person classes on Friday.

FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth High School was forced to dismiss classes early Monday after a "school member" tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to a statement sent out to parents, school was dismissed at 10:45 a.m. out of an abundance of caution. Superintendent Lori Duerr said both cohorts A and B will work remotely until the high school reopens for in-person classes on Friday.

"Although the entire school staff and students were not exposed, we do not have enough staff to cover all the classes to keep the school open," Duerr said in the statement.
