Rescuers pulled a woman with serious injuries out of car submerged in a pond early Sunday at the Framingham Country Club but the driver and another passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Rescue workers were called at about 7:05 a.m. for reports of a car in the pond, which is adjacent to the country club.
Rescue workers heard screams coming from the car and managed, with the help of divers, to pull the surviving woman from the back seat of the car, said Lt. Stephen Cronin, a spokesman for the Framingham Police Department. She was flown by helicopter to a Boston-area hospital.

Two adults, a man and a woman, were found dead in the front seats, Cronin said.
The submerged car, a Honda Accord, had been traveling eastbound on Route 9, then took a right turn onto Country Club Lane, Cronin said. It traveled about 200 yards.
“It appears the driver was then turning left onto Gates Road and failed to negotiate the turn,” Cronin said.
Identities of the victims have not been released. Police said they have not yet determined any cause for the accident.
