This lifting capability added up to 50 points per match.

In addition, Team 9791E Espanol and their robot "Amigo" was invited to the World Championships, based on its programming skill scores.

9791E members are part of Walsh's two-way Spanish program with native Spanish and English speaking members documenting their engineering design in both Spanish and English. Their Spanish language fluency will be an asset during VEX World Championships, where they will interact with students from around the globe.

Team 9791E is comprised of Sam Moffat (7th grade), Emmett Bernstein (7th grade), Erik Glazier (7th grade), Reymond Sanchez Cuellar (6th grade), and Arjun Ramachandrula (8th grade).

Next comes the daunting task of fundraising to pay for team registrations ($850 per team), lodging, food and transportation.
