“The Team Framingham Boston Marathon program has been extraordinarily successful these past five years," Feaster said in a statement. "Our Team Framingham runners have raised more than $372,000 for local charities. 110 of our 111 Team Framingham runners have successfully completed the grueling 26.2 mile Boston Marathon course including this past year when the weather conditions were quite severe. We expect a high level of interest in the community and among city employees for a coveted invitational entry for the 2019 Boston Marathon."

Applications for runners and charity partners interested in participating in the random selection for these invitational entries are available to download or can be picked up in the Mayor’s Office in the Memorial Building. The application process for runners and charities closes at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2.
