3rd Annual Women's Wellness Fair Returns To Framingham

Many local organizations and area residents have donated gently used and new contemporary clothing for the attendees to select

FRAMINGHAM, MA—Are nonprofits converge for the third annual Women's Wellness Fair, coming back to Framingham on Monday, Oct. 15.

The fair, which takes place from 4-6 pm. at the South Middlesex Opportunity Council's Cafe, 7 Bishop St., brings more than 100 women from SMOC's housing and shelter programs together. The event is hosted by SMOC's domestic violence and rape crisis program Voices Against Violence, Planned Parenthood of Massachusetts, Dignity Matters, Justice Institute, Wayside Youth and Family Support Network, American Cancer Society, Women, Infants and Children nutrition program and RIA House.

Local hairstylists volunteer their time to give women free haircuts, and many local organizations and area residents have donated gently used and new contemporary clothing for the attendees to select. Light refreshments are served and there are raffles and yoga lessons, along with an expanded number of health and wellness booths where free information will be disseminated.

"It's really a wonderful and generous act of kindness for these women who are going through some tough times," said co-organizers Jane Lane.
