5 Things: Drop Off Water at Old Navy, Read a Heartfelt Thank-You
Today also marks the start of our latest photo contest, which we hope will make you smile.

1. Old Navy in Shoppers World is planning on making deliveries for the next several days to authorities that have been responding to the aftermath of the Marathon attacks. Here's a message from the store's Facebook page: "Attention friends: Our national guard and law enforcement are working around the clock to help those in need after yesterday's disaster. We would like to thank them for their hard work. We ask that you stop by our store with bottled water, canned soda or donut shop gift certificates. We will try to make a daily delivery to them for the next three days. Please join us in our efforts."
2. The Framingham Downtown Renaissance, which sponsored activities in Framingham as runners passed through on Monday, has posted a thank-you notice on its website. "Thanks to all of you who were part of this special day - one that ended in such tragedy," wrote FDR Executive Director Holli Andrews. "We can still always come together in our Downtown with a heart, no matter what things, good or bad are happening. Downtown is a place for everybody, where everyone is welcome. And together, no matter what happens, we will persevere."Â
3. If you see helicopters flying through town today, they're probably related to a mosquito-control project, which will continue in Framingham wetlands area through the next week.
