5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: January 19, 2016

It's back to school for Framingham students. High School students start midterm exams this week and will be dismissed early every day.

1.Framingham students head back to school after a 4-day weekend. Bundle up at the bus stop as the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until 7 tonight. Winds are expected out of the northwest at at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. The winds will make the high temperature of 36 degrees today feel well-below freezing.

2. Framingham Selectmen will not meet tonight, but Framingham School Committee have a scheduled meeting at 7 at King Elementary School.

The School Committee will hear presentations from the King Elementary and Fuller Middle school improvement plans.

Plus, the Committee may take a vote on a plan to reduce athletic and bus fees within the Framingham Public Schools for the 2016-17 year.

  • Boys swim & dive team will look to stay undefeated with a meet against Wellesley at home at 5 p.m. at the Keefe Technical pool. The Flyers defeated Brookline on Friday night.
  • Framingham High girls basketball team defeated Weston High Monday night for its second win of the season. They will travel to Weymouth tonight for a league game against the Wildcats at 6:45.
  • Boys basketball will host the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m.
