Today is the 30th anniversary of the Challenger explosion. Comedian Lenny Clarke will perform tonight in Framingham at Angry Ham's.

1. Today is the 30th anniversary of the NASA space shuttle Challenger explosion, that killed teacher in space and Framingham native Christa Corrigan McAuliffe and six other astronauts.

The charter school, the bears McAuliffe’s name, is holding an event tonight at 6, featuring a former NASA astronaut, who helped train McAuliffe for her mission.

Framingham State University, where McAuliffe received her bachelor’s and masters degrees, is holding a public, ticketed event tonight at the Arts Center.

2. Tonight in the Memorial Building in the Blummer Community Room is Faint Promise of Rain: A Storytelling and Indian Classical Dance Program. Author Anjali Mitter Duva will present a unique free program that will include storytelling and dance, starting at 7. Event is sponsored by the Friends of the Framingham Public Library.
