Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation. 

1.  is hosting a tour of its campus and the eco-friendly aspects Saturday morning at 10:30. This includes energy-saving equipment in the dining hall; the new residence hall; and a psychadellic Dumpster, to name a few.

2. Marian High Boys' Varsity Baseball takes on Trinity Catholic at 3:30 p.m. at Butterworth Park today.

3. The 12th Georgia Volunteer Regiment is hosting a training day this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Framingham Common. This event is meant for people to experience what it is like to be a Civil War re-enactor and is a warm-up for the Framingham History Center’s Civil War encampment on the weekend of May 4-6.
