UPDATED: $6,000 Stolen From Framingham Elks After Break-in
Framingham Police are investigating the theft.

Framingham Police are investigating a theft at the Framingham Elks Lodge on Union Avenue.
Tuesday morning just after 10 a.m., the Elks Lodge reported someone had broken into the building over night and stolen about $6,000, said Framingham Police Lt. Harry Wareham.
“When they came in to open up they found that the register was broken into,” said Lt. Wareham. He said the unknown individual stole cash from the register, other locked boxes, and money that had been set aside to be deposited.

The thief forced open a door on the north side of the building said Lt. Wareham.
There was some damage to the Elks, he added.
