AAA: Gas Prices Averaging $1.95 A Gallon in Massachusetts
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 40 cents, from a low of $1.79 to a high of $2.19.

The southern slide in prices at the pump continues, with gasoline prices in Massachusetts down another penny, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office in Framingham off Route 9.
AAA’s January 11 survey of prices in Massachusetts finds self-serve, regular averaging $1.95 per gallon, falling one cent over last week.
A year ago at this time, the average price in Massachusetts was 30 cents higher at $2.25.
“Historically, we see demand for gasoline hit its lowest point in January. That factor, combined with falling crude oil prices and an abundant domestic supply, continues to drive down prices at the pump,” says Mary Maguire, director of public/legislative, in a press release.
