American Girl Scavenger Hunt at Civil War Encampment
Explore the life of American Girl's Addy Walker at the Framingham History Center's 2-day Civil War encampment this weekend.

Born in 1855, Addy Walker’s family seeks freedom.
“Her family plans a dangerous escape from slavery during the Civil War. But before they can leave, the worst happens: Poppa and Addy’s brother, Sam, are sold. Addy and Momma risk everything to make the escape themselves, including leaving baby Esther behind with Auntie Lula and Uncle Solomon. Even though Momma assures Addy that they will come back for Esther when the war is over, leaving her is the hardest thing Addy has ever had to do.”
Fans of the American Girl series know about Addy’s search for freedom and to reunite with her family.
