Boston, Providence Set Temperature Record; Worcester Ties
Spring-like temperatures will remain on Thursday, but rain is forecasted.

The National Weather Service said Boston set a new record on Wednesday, March 9 for a high temperature.
The previous record was 72 degrees set in 2000.
Boston officially reached 77 degrees at Logan Airport.

This was the earliest Boston had hit a temperature of 75 degrees or higher ever. The previous record was on March 14, 1946, according to the National Weather Service.
Providence also broke a record, when temperatures hit 67 degrees. The old record was 66 degrees in 2002.

Worcester tied a record at 74 degrees.
Spring-like temperatures will remain on Thursday, with a high of 68, but rain is also forecasted.
