Damianos Publishing To Offer Free Book Publishing Workshop

Learn how to create and publish a book of your own

Do you have an idea for a book that you've been putting off because the publishing process seemed too complicated? Are you unsure of the next steps to get it published? Have you already published a book, but want to explore other publishing options for your next project?

Damianos Publishing wants to help. The Framingham-based publisher will be offering a free “BookSmart” workshop on Tuesday, May 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. at its office at 1630 Concord Street in Saxonville Mill #2.

You will learn how to create and publish a book of your own and with help from a team of local experts that takes a personalized, hands-on approach.

Publisher Lynne Damianos will give an overview of the process, cost considerations, and the various printing and distribution options available, from traditional press runs to print on demand. Book designer Lisa Breslow Thompson will discuss the book design process, including page layout and cover design. Writer and editor Brett Peruzzi will discuss the editing and proofreading process, and how to market your book through the use of both traditional media publicity as well as social media.
