Director Of Framingham Special Needs Day Camp Dies

Brian Rogan, 58, was the principal of the Kennedy School in Brockton and a Northborough resident.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A local educator who served as the director of Framingham's special needs summer camp died suddenly over the weekend. Brian Rogan, 58, was the director of Framingham's McCarthy Special Needs Day Camp.

Brockton Superintendent Michael Thomas announced Rogan's death on Sunday. The Northborough resident was principal of Brockton's Kennedy Elementary School.

Rogan began working at the McCarthy camp in the 1970s as a volunteer, and eventually became director, according to Framingham Parks and Recreation.

"Nobody loved or was more dedicated to his family, friends, and his students than Mr. Rogan," the department said in a statement on Monday. "He had the uncanny ability to always make you feel special and put a smile on your face. Brian had an infectious spirit and touched the lives of everyone that crossed his path."

Brockton is working on a memorial service for Rogan, Thomas said in the statement.
