First Parish in Framingham Calls a New Senior Minister
Welcome, Reverend Aaron Stockwell!

We are pleased to announce that First Parish in Framingham has called Reverend Aaron Stockwell to our ministry as a new senior minister. He brings a commitment to active ministry, to showing up as a person of faith on important issues. He brings a commitment to interfaith efforts that transform the world, and will offer comforting and challenging sermons, guiding us to be our best selves.
Reverend Stockwell says, "I am thrilled to be called as the 25th Minister of First Parish
in Framingham. Having grown up in Massachusetts, there was always
something comforting about knowing that at the edge of nearly every town
green there was a Unitarian Universalist church. It's like they were
just part of the landscape. Having served Unitarian Universalism
congregations in Kansas and Texas, I now appreciate how radical our
faith can be, both in the unusual sense of the word, but also in the
return to the roots sense of radical. I want to insure that our
congregations are not just part of the landscape, but that they can
serve as a beacon, that they change lives and save lives. I am looking
forward to getting to know the many people who make up First Parish, and
learning more about their hopes for our congregation.
I've previously served congregations as an interim minister and as a
developmental minister. Both of these are time bound ministry that have a
distinct ending. I'm looking to building our ministry over the years
together."
