Flooding Closes Route 9 In Framingham: MassDOT
One lane in either direction was closed early Monday morning as heavy rains soaked the area.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Drivers should avoid Route 9 in Framingham on Monday morning due to flooding caused by ongoing heavy rain.
Route 9 was flooded at the Route 126 overpass, closing one lane each westbound and eastbound, according to MassDOT.
Flooding at the intersection is a longstanding problem during heavy rainstorms. Over the summer, state lawmakers urged Gov. Charlie Baker to approve a fix for the intersection. MassDOT is planning to install better watch catch basins along the road to reduce flooding.
