Flyer Burkett Crowned Queen of The Beam at Bay State Meet
The Framingham High gymnastics team finished fourth at the Bay State Conference championship meet on Saturday.
The Framingham High gymnastics team finished fourth at the Bay State Conference championship meet Saturday at Newton North High.
Ten teams competed in the championship, with Wellesley winning the title with 138.15 points.
Needham finished second with 137.55 points. Newton North was third with 133.10 points.

The Flyers scored 132.10 points.
Individually, Framingham senior co-captain Ellie Burkett won the Bay State Conference balance beam competition. She finished first with a score of 8.9.

The top 6 gymnasts in each of four apparatus were awarded medals.
Framingham won a total of four individual medals.
Kalena Chin finished in third on the balance beam with a score of 8.45. She was the Flyers only double winner also finishing fifth on uneven bars, with a score of 8.6
Rachel Lew finished fifth in the vault, with a score of 8.6
The Flyer also had a couple of all-stars Lew on vault, Chin on bars, and Burkett on beam. Senior co-captain Kate O’Callaghan was given an honorable mention.
Today, Feb. 7 is the senior competition in Brockton.
