Flyers Finish Fourth in Bay State Swim Meet
Sophomore Cole Bassett won the 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle events for Framingham.

Framingham High’s swim and dive team finished fourth overall in the Bay State Conference meet.
Needham High won the Conference meet.
Framingham High sophomore Cole Bassett was crowned Bay State Champion in the backstroke. He won the 100-yard event in 57.60 seconds.

Bassett also was the fastest swimmer in the pool, winning the 50-yard freestyle event in 22.92 seconds. Teammate Guilan Santos, a senior, finished third in the 50-yard freestyle at 23.43 seconds.
Senior Matt Peck finished second in the individual medley event. His time was 2:04.49 minutes.

Peck also finished third in the 100-yard butterfly event at 55.66 seconds.
Senior Colin Tonkiss finished second in the diving competition for Framingham.
The Flyers finished second in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:32.58 seconds. Relay swimmers were Bassett, Peck, Santos, and sophomore Ray Wong.
Santos finished third in the 100-yard freestyle at 52.08 seconds.
The Flyers finished third in the 200-yard medley relay. On the relay were Bassett, Peck, Santos, and sophomore Cole Geiser in the breaststroke. Their time was 1:45.40 seconds.
