The National Weather Service has increased storm totals for MetroWest and Framingham to 8-12 inches. Storm Warning through 5 p.m.

At 11 p.m., Eversource still has 3% of Framingham without power, or about 750 customers.

Eversource, at 3:15 p.m., is reporting still 7 percent of Framingham without power.

Route 30 at Speen Street in Framingham is closed headed intoNatick. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route for the evening commute.

As of 2:30 p.m., Eversource is reporting about 7 percent of the town or about 2,200 customers without power.

Boys and girls basketball games involving Framingham High have been cancelled.

The Class of 2016 has cancelled its fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen and rescheduled it for next Friday, Feb. 12.

As of 2:15 p.m., Eversource has about 6 percent of the Town without power or about 1,700 customers without power.

Many reports of minor crashes on the roads and many reports of downed tree limbs and wires in Framingham.

Town of Framingham at 11 a.m. declared a snow emergency from now until 8 a.m. on Saturday.

When a snow emergency is declared, parking is prohibited on all arterial roads in town. These roads are posted with red and white signs. View a list of arterial roads.

As of 11:20 a.m., Eversource says it has reduced the number of customers without power to about 300.

Eversource is reporting about 3,000 customers in Framingham without power as of 10:30 a.m. Friday.

That is about 10 percent of Framingham.

The National Weather Service in Boston around 10:30 a.m. Friday has increased the possible snow totals for MetroWest and Framingham to 8-12 inches, from yesterday’s 4-8 inches.

The Winter Storm Warning is in still in effect through 3 p.m.

Snow has fallen in Framingham at times, by as much as 1-2 inches an hour.

As of 9 a.m., Framingham had 3.5 inches of snow.

Eversource reporting about 200 customers in Framingham, north of the MassPike mostly, without power at 10 a.m. Service was expected back by 11:30 a.m.

Framingham Town Hall is open. Framingham Libraries are open.

Framingham History Center is closed.

There is trash and recycling collection today, although DPW may be delayed as they are plowing the roads.

No classes at Framingham State University and Mass Bay Community College today. (7:30 a.m.)

The Town Framingham Recycling Drop-Off Center (RDC) at 255 Mount Wayte Avenue is closed today due to weather. The RDC will be open Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Marian High calls a snow day - last school in Framingham to do so.

All K-12 schools in Framingham are closed on Friday.

NO SCHOOL for Framingham Public (called at 5:50 a.m.) and McAuliffe Charter School students also have a snow day, called before 5:30 a.m.

Keefe Technical is closed today.

Saint Bridget School closes, if Framingham calls a snow day.

It had been raining overnight, but about 4:30 a.m. it changed over to snow in Framingham.

Worcester called no school this morning, but as of 5:15 a.m. Framingham still has school.

The MetroWest Jewish Day School in Framingham cancelled school Thursday night.

The Advanced Math charter school in Marlborough has no school on Friday.

Ashland and Natick also called no school by 5:30 a.m.

Students at the Christa McAuliffe Charter School in Framingham will have no school on Friday. Called at 5:25 a.m.

The National Weather Service in Boston has declared a winter storm warning for MetroWest, including Framingham from 1 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5.

The latest forecast calls for 4 to 8 inches for Framingham, with possibly bands of up to an inch of snow per hour in the morning.

Heavy snow is expected during the morning commute.

The National Weather Service suggested doubling your normal drive time on Friday or telecommute.

Snow is expected to be heavy and wet and could cause isolated power outages. It may also cause downed tree limbs.

Visibility may be tough at times, with wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour.

A storm warning is issued when there could be more than 6 inches of snow, with poor visibility.

As of 8:25 p.m. Thursday, Framingham does have school on Friday.

Boston, Malden, and Somerville have already called no school days for Feb. 5.

At 1 p.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service extended its weather watch to include MetroWest, including Framingham.
