Framingham Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
Framingham police have been searching for Axel Mercado, 40, since December.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Boston man wanted for months by local police has been arrested, Framingham police reported Friday morning.
State police and the U.S. Marshals arrested Axel Mercado, 40, in Pawtucket. He is facing weapons charges and a charge of attempted murder, according to police. Mercado last lived in the Roslindale neighborhood, according to public records.
According to police, Mercado took part in a shooting in Framingham on Dec. 29. The department had been asking for help from the public ever since to track him down.
