Framingham Braces For Nor'easter: Parking Ban, Trash Delay

The latest forecasts are calling for 12 to possibly 18 inches in the Framingham between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham is hunkering down as the first real snowstorm in a long bears down on the region.

A winter parking ban will go into effect for 24 hours beginning Wednesday at 11 p.m. The ban will cover arterial roads where red and white winter parking ban signs are posted.

Framingham is also canceling trash and recycling collection on Thursday, pushing collections back one day. All Framingham city staff will also be working remotely on Thursday, and the recycling drop-off center will be closed.

Finally, both the SMOC walk-up coronavirus testing site and the Frankling Street Stop the Spread site will be closed on Thursday.

The latest forecasts call for between 12 and 18 inches of snow west of Framingham, and 8 to 12 inches toward Boston. Snow should begin to fall in the MetroWest area by 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The storm should end around 1 p.m. Thursday.
