Framingham Cultural Council 2019 Awards

Students were given scholarships and organizations were honored by the city's cultural council..

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Cultural Council held their annual awards reception on Thursday night. Students were awarded for their artwork and organizations were recognized for their contribution to the community. The evening featured a performance by the McAuliffe Shakespeare Performance Club.

Mayor Yvonne Spicer attended and made remarks about how the arts and performing arts in particular touched her life, growing up in New York City. Framingham School Superintendent Robert Tremblay was also at the event as well as Representative Maria Robinson.

Over two dozen projects were recognized for receiving grants, all were based in organizations from Framingham.
