Framingham To Delay Weekly Coronavirus Vaccine Clinic
City officials have not confirmed a vaccine shipment yet, and may not have time to set up a Saturday clinic.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — City officials are postponing a planned Feb. 20 coronavirus vaccine clinic due to uncertainty about vaccine availability.
As of Wednesday, Framingham officials had not confirmed the number of vaccine doses the city was supposed to receive this week. Officials said the delay is related to this week's winter storms.
Framingham is supposed to get about 300 doses of the Moderna vaccine each week to use for local vaccine clinics. The city has held two clinics at Keefe Tech on Feb. 13 and Feb. 6. State officials typically alert local officials about the vaccine doses by mid-week, allowing Framingham to set up the next clinic.

The city's announcement comes as the state prepares to stop sharing doses with individual towns and cities.
Gov. Charlie Baker said Wednesday the state will direct residents to vaccine supersites, and will stop alotting doses to communities by March 1. A supersite opened this week at Worcester State University, and another is set to open Feb. 22 at the Natick Mall.
