Framingham Eatery Treats Coronavirus Workers To Lunch
The workers at the coronavirus testing site in Framingham were surprised Friday afternoon by a local pizza restaurant.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A local restaurant recently made a special delivery to the coronavirus testing site in Framingham, surprising the workers there with a free pizza lunch.
Pizza Wagon, 15 School St., delivered about 10 free pizzas to the testing site at the TJX headquarters on Friday. About 20 people work at the site, which is part of the state's Stop the Spread program.
Brenda Finn, who works at the drive-up site, said she and her colleagues don't always get the chance for a lunch break, so the pizza was a welcome surprise. The site is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Framingham has had several Stop the Spread testing sites since August when the virus began ramping in the area. The TJX site at 770 Cochituate Road opened on Nov. 2. A second site at the South Middlesex Opportunity Council, 7 Bishop St., is open for walk-up testing weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m.
The state has provided funding to Framingham to keep testing going until at least through the end of 2020.
