Framingham Flyers Hockey and Hoop in Playoffs Saturday Night

The boys basketball team travels to Worcester for a semifinal game and the boys hockey travels to Brockton for a quarterfinal game.

Both the Framingham High boys basketball team and the boys ice hockey teams have road games on Saturday night, March 5.

The hoopsters are in the semifinals of the MIAA Division 1 Central Tourney at 5 in Worcester.

The skaters are in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Division 1 South tourney at 8 in Brockton.

Thursday night, the boys basketball team, in its first playoff game in eight years, and seeded #7 in the MIAA Division 1 Central Tournament, travelled to Worcester and upset #2 Holy Name. Led by senior captain Mike Bradley's 19 points and 10 assists, the Flyers advanced to the semifinal round.

Framingham will battle #3-seeded Franklin, who are 16-5, in Worcester at WPI tonight at 5.

The Flyers are 11-10, under head coach Ben Torbert.

The Framingham High boys hockey team exploded for 3 goals in the span of 4 minutes in the second period to top Weymouth 4-2, in the first round of the MIAA Division 1 South hockey tournament Wednesday night at Loring Arena.

Win the victory, the #3-seeded Flyers advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division 1 South tournament against #6-seeded Marshfield. The puck will drop at 8 tonight in Brockton.

The Flyers are 15-3-5, under head coach Paul Speer.
