Framingham Hosting PeeWee State Hockey Tournament

PeeWee games begin Thursday, March 3 in Loring Arena. A dozen teams are competing including Framingham's PeeWee C1's.

Framingham’s PeeWee C1's will be trying to follow up their Bantam A brothers’ State Championship win last Sunday night with one of their own.

Starting today, March 3 Framingham will host 11 other Massachusetts teams all vying for their shot at the state title and trophy.

Teams competing will be Andover, Cape Cod Canal, Dorchester, KP Walpole, Natick, Needham, Plymouth, Reading, Twin City (Leominster/Fitchburg), Waltham, Wilbraham Twin Meadows and the Framingham Flyers PeeWee C1's

Two games will also be played off-site on Saturday afternoon at New England Sports Center in Marlboro.

  • Thursday 5:50 p.m. at Loring Arena
  • Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Loring
  • Saturday 5:10 p.m. at Loring

This season Framingham has 9 different hockey teams, at various levels, who are all competing for a state championship across the Commonwealth.

PeeWee level kids are 11-13 years of age.

Members of the Framingham PeeWee C1 team competing include: Ben Connaughton, John Malewski, Nathan Nislick, Nick McGrann, Noah Marshall, Chris Green, Finn Shea, Jack Irving, Jackson Bridges, Jack Hansberry, Ryan Viveiros, Blake Manning, and Ava Sullivan.

This is the second weekend in a row that Framingham and Loring Arena is hosting a state hockey tournament.

Again, like last weekend, starting Thursday evening there will be a large raffle table and concessions. All proceeds from the raffle will be going to the Denna Laing Fund, the Boston Pride and former Princeton Hockey player, who was severely injured while playing at the Winter Classic in January.

The admission is free. Parking is free.

And $2 in quarters will provide heat to a whole section of bleachers for an entire game.

Fans are encouraged to wear Flyer gear and bring some noise.
