Framingham Looking For Flag Day Parade Volunteers, Participants

Framingham's Flag Day is coming up and the city is looking for people to march in the parade.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham's Flag Day parade is just around the corner and the city is looking for groups to march in the parade and volunteers to help put the event together. This will be the second year of the parade, it was brought back to the city in 2018. The parade will start at 9 a.m. on June 9. The parade will follow the same route as last year's starting at St Stephen's Church and ending at Bowditch Field.

The parade was brought back by popular demand last year to honor the men and women serving in the armed forces and the city's veterans.

The city is calling on community service organizations, neighborhood groups, church and school groups, and businesses to participate in the parade with floats, decorated vehicles, and marching or walking units. Decorations of the floats or units should fit the flag day theme of honoring service men and women.
