Shooting In Framingham Under Investigation

A man was found with a gunshot wound Tuesday night in a home south of downtown Framingham.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham detectives are investigating a shooting that took place in a Brackett Road home on Tuesday night.

The victim was found inside an apartment, and was taken to UMass Memorial in Worcester for treatment, according to police. Neither his age nor identity were immediately released.

Framingham police Chief Lester Baker said Wednesday the shooting was "not a random act," and that police are searching for the suspect.

The neighborhood where the shooting took place is located southeast of Waushakum Pond near the Ashland town line.
